From idea to completion

The fascination of the transformation of a space

The project: Brandenburgklinik Berlin-Brandenburg in Bernau near Berlin

The initial situation

The client's wish:
effective redesign of the entrance area in Haus Brandenburg.

The idea:
Design of a green wall. Creation of a unique feel-good atmosphere for guests and visitors to the house in a contemporary design. Naturalness and sustainability are the focus of the planning and implementation.

The existing wooden wall is transformed into a green plant wall.
The idea of green walls is simple, but their impact is profound.

Using vertical surfaces for living greenery, whether on walls or ceilings, creates a green oasis, even in rooms without natural light. Green walls are particularly beneficial when floor space for plants is limited. This system, as here in the Brandenburg Clinic, makes it possible to create a green wall without the use of irrigation systems. This creates a vertical garden in no time at all, with no maintenance required.

The implementation

Step 1:

Extensive renovation work.

Excellently implemented by the building services department. The work was carried out almost invisibly in two areas, each well separated from the public area.

Step 2:

After the renovation was completed
, the newly created areas for the plant walls were painted in a pleasant shade of green. Waiting for what is to come, in a nice atmosphere. Only a few weeks left until the finale.

Finished:
the GREEN WALL

Step 3:

Green walls or ceilings in the interior not only look impressive, but also offer numerous advantages.

Green walls made of moss improve air quality by regulating humidity. This creates a pleasant indoor climate and has positive effects on the health and performance of the people in the room. In office environments in particular, a green wall can contribute to a significant increase in employee satisfaction and productivity. It has been scientifically proven that the presence of nature in our environment has a positive effect on our psyche and makes us happier. In cold, often dreary seasons, green walls offer an invigorating contrast that brightens the mood.
Step 4:

The result: unique, impressive, maintenance-free.

For the well-being of guests and visitors to the Brandenburg Clinic, Berlin-Brandenburg

The green wall and the design of the room dividers enliven the reception area in the Brandenburg House. With these fascinating, flat green walls made of real stabilized plants, real, maintenance-free moss and the finest of all artificial flowers from SILK-KA, we have created a green and blooming oasis for the eyes and soul.

The special accent

Step 5:

The new, contemporary design of the existing room divider elements with "flowers for life".

Flowers for life - by SILK-KA - artificial flowers of the finest quality.

Until now we rejected artificial materials and silk flowers until we discovered the unique products from SILK-KA. Every flower stem impresses with its high-quality workmanship and perfection, which convinced us.
And we put them in the perfect setting!
We would like to thank the management of Michels Kliniken GmbH & Co.KG.
for all artistic freedom and their trust in our work.

"We make your unique object bloom and flourish.
Enduring, captivating, exciting, and tailor-made for you."
